Mr. Ralph Lee Hibbard, 86, of Snyder, New York passed away peacefully on March 23, 2015.

Mr. Hibbard was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and he proudly served for three years in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Hibbard went on to serve fifteen years in the United States Army Reserve in Buffalo, New York.

While serving in the Coast Guard, Mr. Hibbard met his wife, Sylvia (nee Smith) Hibbard. The two were married on August 31, 1949 and shared 60 years of marriage before Mrs. Hibbard's passing in 2010....

Mr. Ralph Lee Hibbard, 86, of Snyder, New York passed away peacefully on March 23, 2015.

Mr. Hibbard was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and he proudly served for three years in the United States Coast Guard. Mr. Hibbard went on to serve fifteen years in the United States Army Reserve in Buffalo, New York.

While serving in the Coast Guard, Mr. Hibbard met his wife, Sylvia (nee Smith) Hibbard. The two were married on August 31, 1949 and shared 60 years of marriage before Mrs. Hibbard's passing in 2010. Mr. and Mrs. Hibbard were blessed with three children: Darlene (Robert) McDonough, David (late Paula, d. 2014) Hibbard, and Dale (Michelle) Hibbard.

Mr. Hibbard is also survived by six grandchildren: Robert (Anne) McDonough, Ryan (Beth) McDonough, Kara (Aaron) Berfield, Kyle Hibbard, Andrew (Lyndsey) Hibbard and Alan Hibbard; and eight great-grandchildren: James, Jonathan, Joseph, Pierce, Paige and Oliver McDonough, and Kaleigh and Kelsey Berfield.

Mr. Hibbard was a dedicated blood donor, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.

March 23, 2015 at age 86. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia O. (nee Smith) Hibbard; dearest father of Darlene (Robert) McDonough, David (late Paula) and Dale (Michelle) Hibbard. The family will be present on Monday from 4-7 PM at the DENGLER, ROBERTS, PERNA FUNERAL HOME, 2070 Eggert Rd., Amherst, NY where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM. Friends invited. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, memorials may be made to American Red Cross.
